With the Supreme Champion Shorthorn bull fetching a commendable price at auction of $11000, the Shorthorn Breed President was well pleased with the breed’s presence at Beef Expo 2010 held in Feilding this week.
Selling sixteen bulls for an average of $5000, Breed President Judy Austin was complementary of the quality of bulls on offer, thus reflecting in the satisfactory sale prices gained for the animals.
Hiwiroa Jack E30, Supreme Champion of the Breed, bred by J & P Syme of Waipukurau sold for stud purposes at $11000 with the second top price of $8500 gained by Austins Legacy 066.
